The answer to life, the universe and everything is 42. This number has been used in many books, movies and TV shows to represent the meaning of life. For example, in The Hitchhiker’s Guide to the Galaxy, a book written by Douglas Adams, the main character asks a supercomputer called Deep Thought to answer the question “What is the meaning of life, the universe, and everything?” After seven and a half million years of thinking, the computer finally gives the answer—42. In the movie The Matrix, Neo is asked to find the answer to the same question and he is given the same answer—42. Fun Fact: In the movie Hitchhiker’s Guide to the Galaxy, 42 is the number of floors in the building in which the supercomputer Deep Thought resides.
