Natural Selection

Natural selection is just a fancy way of saying “survival of the fittest”. Basically, it means that weaker members of a species die out and the stronger ones live on to reproduce and pass on their genes. For example, if you were a giraffe and couldn’t reach the leaves on the tallest trees, you’d probably die of hunger while the taller giraffes thrive. Fun fact: Natural selection was first proposed by Charles Darwin in his 1859 book, On the Origin of Species!
